These positions are vital for the Disabled American Veterans Loudoun County Chapter 62, a dedicated veterans support organization.
The purpose of this chapter is to fulfill our promises to the men and women who served, and, in furtherance of that purpose, to support the programs of the Disabled American Veterans, particularly those represented by the Loudoun County Chapter 62, as provided in the National Constitution and Bylaws and Regulations of the National Executive Committee.
Although we are veterans ourselves, the Disabled American Veterans organization differs from other veterans support organizations such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Legion, and American Veterans (AMVETS). DAV is recognized as a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. DAV limits historical activities and focuses on actively advancing initiatives for the betterment of all wounded, gassed, injured, and disabled veterans.
